Villa Eläintarha is one of the preserved Linnunlaulu wooden villas. The residence and exhibition operations are maintained by the City of Helsinki.
Bourgeois home exhibition
Open on Wednesdays from 12.00 to 16.00 and by appointment, free admission. The exhibition is closed due to renovation work.

The Bourgeois home exhibition
Visit a bourgeois home that dates back to the turn of the 19th and the 20th century. The permanent exhibition is open on Wednesdays at 12.00–16.00, guided tours for groups available by appointment. The exhibition is closed due to renovation work.
Live and work
The artist residence
is intended for foreign artists and Finnish artists who reside permanently abroad. The lengths of residence periods vary from one week to two months.

The villa was once part of a larger villa community called Linnunlaulu on the outskirts of the city, but only part of it remains today.

Happy to present the latest artist at the residence: Adriene Jenik, who will be at the Theatre Academy of Finland, on the 24th April performing “climate future readings” with her ECOtarot deck from 11:00-14:00 in the Tori, and giving a free open talk at 18:00 (address: Haapaniemenkatu 6, 00530 Helsinki).
